Concept Statement Relationships are the glue that binds us together as a society. They support, inspire and delight us. bar is a social place. A place where relationships are forged and maintained. Personal connections overlap, duplicate, converge and diverge. They are always changing. Never the same for long. They knot together forming a crude web. The pattern is not regular or predictable. It is unique and constantly changing. Some connections are lost and new ones are added. The frequency of these changes always different. Connections join us, fit us together like a puzzle with irregular pieces. Layers of connections equals a relationship. What happens when a connection breaks? It no longer forms a join but it remains in its broken state, it is no longer effective but it is still there. This is a tribute to lost chances, broken loves... Though, the break leaves room for more to grow. Some connections are stronger than others (shown by thicker string), when these break, they leave a more visible mark behind. Weaker connections break more easily and leave less of a mark. In the theatre, relationships are played out on stage. Friends are made, new lovers taken and connections made. The drama connects the audience to the actors, the small intimate theatre makes them part of the play. Connections form layer upon layer, new upon old, strong trumping weak.
