Design Concept for a London Theatre Bar
We redesigned the bar and box office area for a bold, dynamic London theatre company who showcase new writers and encourage young talent.
In this project a conceptual concept, "The Ties that Bind," was used to inform the creative direction of the project. This inspired the look, feel and layout of the space.
A concept is used by designers to convey the 'mood' or 'feeling' that the design will create. This can also be used as the impetus for the project and will inform colour and style decisions.
These are often in the form of a mood board, or by the use of a collection of abstract images.
A conceptual concept is an abstract idea which has an overarching influence over the direction of the project and design process.
